What Is the Medford Environmental Alliance?

The Medford Environmental Alliance (MEA) works to ensure the success of environmental and sustainability efforts in Medford. We seek to increase awareness and understanding of these issues, and participation in the community. By providing a network, we improve communication and coordination among groups and individuals working on environmental issues.

How Does the Medford Environmental Alliance Achieve its Goals?

MEA acts as a communications hub for all the people interested in Medford's environment, and helps groups to publicize their concerns, events and needs to a wider audience. There is no membership fee.

What Environmental Work is Happening in Medford?

Medford has ongoing initiatives and organizations that work to conserve and protect all of our shared and open spaces—the Mystic River, The Middlesex Fells, the Brookes Estate, public trees and parks. Several groups have joined the fight against global warming. Medford has initiatives to increase home energy efficiency, drive less, bike and walk more, and ensure the health and safety of our children.
